Introduction
The College provides a holistic experience in postgraduate research that is based on interdisciplinary programmes, courses and events. This cross-school experience is a significant shift from the traditional school-based experience.
The College does this is through the Graduate Research Interdisciplinary Topics (GRIT) programme. These are courses which are offered by various SMU Schools. Depending on the respective Academic Research PhD Programme, SMU PhD students would take these shared courses as either ‘required’ courses, or as ‘electives’. GRIT would contribute to the respective programmes’ Course Units (CUs).
