Purpose
To provide outstanding Singaporeans who have completed their PhD and/or post-doctoral training or relevant terminal degree for their discipline, an opportunity to build their research portfolio and enable them to be considered for a tenure track position at SMU. This will be a term appointment for a period of up to three years during which the awardee will receive a research grant and will have a reduced teaching load assisting the awardee to concentrate on enhancing his/her research record.
Eligibility criteria
- Singapore citizens.
- The candidate has completed PhD and/or post-doctoral training
- The candidate demonstrates a high degree of proficiency and motivation
Early Career Awards will be offered in the following areas:
