Purpose
SMU’s Social Sciences & Humanities Fellowship aims to attract outstanding Singaporean PhD talent or those who have completed the appropriate terminal degree for their discipline overseas back to Singapore as full-time assistant professors on the tenure track. In addition to a competitive salary, Fellows will receive a sizeable research grant for the duration of the Fellowship.
Eligibility criteria
- Singapore citizens.
- The candidate should have a PhD in a discipline relevant* to SMU or should currently be holding an assistant professor position (or similar) elsewhere.
- The candidate’s area of research interest must be aligned with that of the host school.
- Candidates should demonstrate a high degree of proficiency and motivation.

- Accountancy - Finance - Marketing - Strategy - Operations Management - Behaviour and Human Resources |
- Economics - Information Systems - Law - Political Science - Psychology - Sociology |
